Bonham E Freeman
Ed has a background in journalism and newspaper publishing. He has degrees in Business Administration from Central Missouri State University and a degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri. He started his financial services career in 1996 with Merrill Lynch. After 16 years he left Merrill with the title of Asst. Vice President, Senior Investment Associate. Wishing to join a less structured organization, Ed joined Waddell and Reed Financial. Waddell and Reed was purchased by LPL Financial in 2021.
With nearly 30 years of experience in helping clients reach their financial goals Ed has built his business around serious investors. He shuns prospects whose goals are to “hit a lick” in the stock market in favor of those looking for financial security and reaching their life goals. He often tells clients he may not give them something to brag about on the golf course, but he will keep them on the golf course.
Ed stresses that reviewing the complete financial picture is paramount in putting together a successful investment program.
Ed’s approach is to demystify investing. He says, people often get caught up with jargon and data. While interesting, that information rarely leads to reaching financial goals. Investments are tools and learning how to use those tools are the key to investment success. You need a plan to establish where you want to go and the best route to get you there.
